FTTH

Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) requires crucial components for the connection between the service provider and the customer. This includes an Optical Line Terminal (OLT), a Network Management System (NMS) server, and a router in the headend. At the customer's location, there is an Optical Network Terminal (ONT) or Optical Network Unit (ONU), serving as the interface between the fiber connection and the user's devices. The ONT/ONU unit typically has a coaxial port for TV and an Ethernet port for data. In cases where TV signals need to be transmitted over the same fiber connection, an RF Over Glass (RFOG) sender is used to convert coaxial signals to optical signals. These signals are then sent to an Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) that amplifies the RFOG signal. Data and TV signals are then combined onto a single fiber at each output
