Kursleveranse på Batam

On behalf of Netnordic, Don Dinh, who works in production and logistics at Bredengen, traveled to Batam, Indonesia to deliver a training course for NOV Profab. The topic was connecting radiating cable in demanding offshore environments – combining theory and practice to the great satisfaction of the participants.

Training Delivery in Batam

After a long journey, he finally arrived on the island and was warmly welcomed. Shortly after, he was ready to begin the day’s program, which included both theoretical instruction and hands-on exercises.

The training focused on connectorization of radiating cable, a cable type designed to leak radio signals evenly along its entire length. This ensures stable coverage in environments where traditional antennas don’t work – such as enclosed spaces, hulls, or tunnels – and is especially useful in offshore settings.

A key topic was correct connectorization to preserve the cable’s electrical properties and lifespan. The process involves precise stripping of the outer jacket and shield without damaging the conductor or dielectric. When done properly, the result is both corrosion-resistant and waterproof (IP68).

The day was carried out with great enthusiasm and strong collaboration. Participants gave very positive feedback – several already asked when the next training could take place.

👏 A big thank you to NOV Profab for the hospitality and collaboration. We look forward to more training sessions together!
