GNSS Power over Fiber
The GNSS & Power-over-Fiber portfolio from HUBER+SUHNER is the world's first true copper-free time synchronization solution, developed for data center and telecommunications customers in search of scalable timing infrastructure. Since power is distributed over fiber instead of copper, there is no need for power routing on the roof – meaning fewer roof penetrations, no need for lightning protection or construction approval, saving both time and installation costs.
The solution allows for greater distances between the RF source and the receiver system, and is immune to RFI, EMI and EMP. With two integrated power supplies, power redundancy is ensured, while remote control and monitoring are easily achieved via a web interface. A single GNSS antenna can cover an unlimited number of end devices, and the distribution can be flexibly expanded as your business grows. The optical transmission also provides enhanced security against tapping and jamming attacks.
